The Canary is by far the most famous bird within a household setting. In the wild the Canary is only found on, as one might expect, the Canary Islands. The wild Canary is a seed-eating bird. The domestic canary is often bright yellow. As you can see, this canary has a distinct red coat of feathers. This vivid red-orange canary is created by supplementing the birds menu with carotene, resulting in a change of color.
