MiG 15

Measurements HxDxW – 11 x 10 x 15 / 4,3 x 3,9 x 5,9 inch

The MiG-15 was one of the first successful jet fighters to incorporate swept wings to achieve high transonic speeds. Introduced in combat over the skies of Korea, it outclassed straight-winged jet day fighters which were largely relegated to ground attack roles, and was quickly countered by the similar American swept-wing F-86 Sabre. The MiG-15 is often mentioned, along with the North American F-86 Sabre, as the best fighter aircraft of the Korean War, and among the best fighter aircraft of all time.

This very elegant one-of-a-kind hand made model does a lot of justice to this iconic airplane. The black circular base is complimented by an elegantly curved red stand with a real bullit at the end. The model itself has a cool red color inside the turbine and it is polished very well to give a bit of a shine. The unique lines of this grandfather of jet fighters is really well struck. In other words a model that we hate part with but had to share.
