This is a school chart created after the work of Dr. Louis Auzoux, a French physician who lived from 1797 until 1880. Charts like these were used as teaching tools in France from around 1900 into the late 1960s. For anyone who dares to go a little crazy with their imagination, these images become either a total psychedelic experience, or the proof that the microcosmic side of our world might be a little more than we can handle.
This particular educational chart shows all you need to know about the development of a bean plant. These Auzoux school charts are so beautiful and fascinating - one could argue they are true pieces of art. To us, it is mostly unbelievable that they were actually used as educational tools for explaining these difficult topics.
