In the 1950s the British Army used a nice green tinged denim fabric for some of their outerware. This fabric was more lightweight and maybe even more durable than the wool which was the standard during the decade before.
This jacket is great example of that. It has a nice almost fashionable cut and is in mint condition apart from one button on the cuff not being there anymore.
