The Black-throated Finch (Poephila cincta), or Parson Finch, is a species of estrildid finch found in grassy woodlands throughout north-east Australia from Cape York Peninsula to north-east New South Wales.

The tinier birds are, the more fascinating they become. But only to those who really allow themselves to be fascinated by the 'choices' Mother Nature made. Every little detail, intricate feather structure, amazing blend of colours can be studied and admired from up-close.
