This school chart of Australia, made in Germany in the 1950s, is so much fun. The fact that it is still in such good shape is quite a miracle since the paper and canvas backing are really delicate, and the environment of a class room full of pupils could easily have damaged it. This is also one the reasons why these particular charts are so rare: most of them did not survive their active duty. The bright blue color of the ocean and intricate landscape full of animals make this such a unique piece upon your wall.

Shown on this chart is the entire Australian continent including the vast tropical expanse to the east of mainland Australia. Papua New Guinea is shown as well with its unique feature - birds of paradise - prominently shown. The endemic parrots of New Zealand as well as their national bird, the Kiwi, can not be missed. This is such an inviting chart. Wanting you to hop over to Australia and enjoy the beautiful beaches, animals and landscape of this fascinating continent.
