This vintage school chart of Africa was made in Germany during the 1950s. The fact that it is still in such good shape is quite a miracle since the paper and canvas backing are really delicate, and the environment of a class room full of pupils could easily have damaged it. This is also one the reasons why these particular educational charts are so rare. Most of them did not survive active duty. The bright blue color of the ocean and diverse continent makes this such a great chart.
Portrayed on this chart is the entire African continent and explicitly showing various tribes living in Africa. We definitely question the fact of what educational purpose this chart could have served. As controversial as it may be today, we still think this chart is a realy beauty. What's so great about this piece, is that the chart leaves so much to explore. You'll keep discovering new things.
